Client: BP Oil UK Limited.

Site: Aberdeen, Pointlaw Terminal, Scotland.

Project value: £5 million GBP.

Trident's scope of work: Joint Venture Terminal Redevelopment by BP & Shell consisting of: Installation of 5 new storage tanks, 4 road vehicle bottom loading gantries, multi-user additive system for BP, Shell and ESSO, new water/foam fire hydrant, sprinkler and drencher systems. It also involved re-siting of a marine offloading jetty for larger vessels and installation of bunkering facilities.

Background: This project was split into two main phases, Pre-Engineering and Main Engineering. The Pre-Engineering phase involved the rationalisation and development of the ships bunkering activities, product storage reallocations, installation of new pumping/piping systems and all associated electrical, mechanical and civil engineering works required prior to the Main Engineering phase. The Main Engineering works involved demolition with respect to the existing tankage.

Site: Retail outlets throughout the UK.

Trident's scope of work: Installation and commissioning of LPG facilities in accordance with Client Specification. Design and Development of fully buried and above ground systems for storage of LPG at retail forecourts.

Background: Responsible for policing the implementation of BP Specifications on all dealer retail installations. Trident also provides on site supervision and commissioning of LPG installations throughout the UK via our team of highly qualified and experienced engineers.

Client: Parson Brinckerhoff.

Site: Check Lap Kok, Hong Kong.

Background: Working in partnership with Parsons Brinckerhoff (Asia) Trident was asked to carryout the detailed design of the On Airport Fuel Hydrant System and Storage facilities for the replacement airport at Chep Lap Kok, Hong Kong. Trident scope included:

  1. Engineering Feasibility Study
  2. Aviation Tank Storage Design
  3. Hydrant Distribution System Design
  4. Hydrant Pumping
  5. Tanker Refuelling
  6. Aircraft De-fuelling JET A-1
  7. Leak Detection
  8. Fire Fighting Facilities at Storage Compound, Jetty Design
  9. Civil Engineering in connection with Hydrant system.

The project was completed in 1998 and provides Hong Kong International Airport with the worlds most advanced ON AIRPORT FUEL HYDRANT SYSTEMS. In 2003 Trident continued it’s association with Parsons Brinckerhoff (Asia) when work began on increase the airports Aviation Storage Capacity.

Client: Shell UK Limited.

Site: Stanlow.

Project value: £5 million GBP.

Trident's scope of work: Expansion of existing terminal facilities:

  1. 3 Road truck bottom loading racks
  2. Vapour collection
  3. Terminal automation
  4. Multi-user additive injection system

Services Provided: Project management, procurement, supervision of construction, and commissioning.

Client: Kuwait Petroleum Ltd.

Site: Ross Chemical & Storage Co. Ltd at Grangemouth, Scotland.

Project value: £3 million GBP.

Trident's scope of work: Demolition of Existing storage tanks of various sizes and age. Clear site and construct reinforced concrete bund complete with three 5000m3 storage tanks.

Background: Site Surveys showed that the load bearing capacity of the natural soil was poor. The tank foundations were piled to a depth of 80m in places. Provision for a fourth tank was included in the development. A ground water quality monitoring system was incorporated in the drainage system to ensure the quality of water discharge meets the highest standards.

Client: Kuwait Petroleum International Aviation Company Ltd.

Site: South West England

Background: Trident were engaged in 2000 initially to rewiew existing storage facilities at a number of locations with a view to reintroducing aviation fuel storage. During one year period the company has designed and project managed a series of cross country pipline repaires, the major refurbishment and modernisation of a large fuel storage facility, constructed a new fuel pumping station in one of the UK's busiest ports along with numerous other modifications and upgrades at various sites, bringing the project on-stream in 2006.

Site: Mombasa, Kenya

Background: Continiuing Trident commitment to the East African Petroleum Business Sector, Triton Petroleum engaged the company to design and project manage the construction of a new fuel storage facility in Mombasa, Kenia.

The project for 52,000 qubic meters of fuel storage capacity was started in 2006. Facilities in the ship-fed terminal include 11 major storage tanks, top and bottom loading road vehicle gantries and rail waggon filling sidings. The site also has the facility to export into the cross country pipline system. The site will also boast the latest in water/foam fire hydrants, sprinkler and drencher systems.

Background: Trident have been commited to working with the biggest independent fuel in the UKsince 2005, carrying out work in over sixty sites to date.

Works have included complete depot upgrades, demolition works, conversion from top to bottom loading, as well as maintenance.

Trident's Electrical Contracting Service has been heavy involved in the maintenance of many of GB Oils Ltd. sites as well as carrying out DSEAR/ATEX inspections and setting up and managing a UK wide site maintenence system.
